This Full Time position is available at our West office between the hours of 7:45AM-5:00pm (depending on when the last patient is seen). 

We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant who will be responsible for greeting and rooming patients as well as assisting physicians, secretaries and staff with daily patient care.

You Will:

  • Updates patient information in the EMR system. 
  • Prepares patients for examination by physician. 
  • Assists physician, RN, PA, or CNP with in office procedures such preparation and set up.   
  • Communicates information such as testing, procedures, etc. to the patient and family. 
  • Organizes and maintains exam rooms. 
  • Changes wound dressings. 
  • Removes sutures and/or staples. 
  • Send electronic prescriptions and complete prescription requests under doctors direction.
  • Completes FMLA, Short Term Disability and Work Status Forms.
  • Prepare electronic health record notes for follow up patients.
  • Record new patient data in the EHR.
  • Responds to patient phone calls.
  • Adheres to organizational policy with particular attention to standards of conduct and to confidentiality as it relates to HIPAA.

Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in the Health related industry is preferred but must have general knowledge and understanding of a medical clinic. 
  • Must be an organized, motivated individual. 
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills. 
  • General knowledge of office equipment such as a copy machine, printer and fax machine.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Intergy software, Docuscan, and EOB Express software preferred, but not required.
