Community Action of Eastern Iowa’s mission is to provide education, financial assistance, and child care resources to individuals and families to promote self-sufficiency and quality care for children.
Your objective in this role is to promote recruitment and retention of child care providers.
A. Promote all Child Care Resource and Referral services
B. Utilize NACCRRAware, TRAC, and other reporting tools to support data collection and complete required reports
C. Complete two hours of child abuse training within 30 days of hire and every 5 years thereafter
D. Develop, promote, and utilize tools to assist with increasing the number of infant and toddler care providers in the region
E. Actively engage with community members throughout the region to understand the outstanding child care needs
F. Gather and share information on resources currently available to support child care providers and CCR&R services across the region
G. Present at community and steering committee meetings about recruitment and retention of child care programs
H. Serve as an advocate to community and business leaders to engage their support for child care issues
I. Participate in employee fairs and other community events as appropriate to encourage recruitment and retention of child care providers
J. Provide consultation to communities and providers on how to effectively start a child care business
K. Participate, as requested, in statewide meetings
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, early childhood education, business, or closely related field. Familiarity with common computer applications required. Also a valid driver's license for Illinois/Iowa and proof of insurance is required as this role does require travel in a personal vehicle.
