Fire Sprinkler Engineering Technician

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-year degree required 
  • AutoCAD experience is required
  • Ability to meet deadlines and schedules while working on multiple projects
  • Must be detail-oriented 
  • Ability to coordinate and work well with others
  • Excellent communication skills-written and verbal
  • Works well in fast paced environment
  • Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Review construction contract documents and coordinate with sub-contractors and General Contractor/owner to gather the required information to design the project's sprinkler system
  • Through problem solving and coordination, layout systems to accommodate construction type and other trades systems through NavisWorks and other 3D methods
  • Create detailed drawings through use of AutoCAD, AutoSprink, or HydraCAD type programs
  • Perform site survey prior to installation
  • Create stock list for all material required throughout the project
  • Perform hydraulic calculations
  • As-built drawings
  • Ensure work complies with local codes and standards
  • Take part in post project reviews to continually improve on the success of future projects

 

Pay Range:
Pay depends on your level of experience and education.
