United Pipe Renewal, Inc. (UPR), a subsidiary of United Contractors, Inc. & Subsidiaries, is a pipeline rehabilitation company using a patented trenchless technology to install cured in place pipe inside existing wastewater piping systems to extend the life of the system for up to 50 years. Our technology eliminates the need to dig up yards, streets, and utilities. It allows for a more timely rehabilitation with little impact on the owner or the general public. Current jobs are in Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio, and North Carolina, but we do travel nationwide.
Duties and training include camera/video work of pipelines, cleaning pipelines with water jetter, preparing liners for installation, operation of boiler and other related equipment, being lowered into a manhole on a tripod and harness to work for short periods of time in a manhole, and driving pickups. We will train to obtain your CDL License and a raise will be included upon completion.
Skills needed include the ability to work closely with 4-5 co-workers as a team, use hand tools, follow safety rules and use common sense on the jobsite, fill out forms and keep track of information, organization, and learn new skills.
Must be willing to travel for one to two weeks at a time, depending on where we are working. Must be able to share a hotel room with a co-worker. Must have a valid drivers license.
