Job Role

DCI Group is hiring for a Project Coordinator to start working on several project in the Des Moines, IA area. The Project Coordinator will assist the Project Manager in the planning, organization and coordination of construction projects. They will also communicate with subcontractors, manage change orders and perform tasks relating to completing the project on schedule.  

Some of the day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Compose and organize materials and reports, and maintain records for work performed
  • Coordinate and manage project meetings and arrangements
  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Maintain project budget or handle specific accounting responsibilities as needed
  • Answer questions relating to company policies and procedures as needed
  • Administrative responsibilities include managing purchase orders, lien waivers and job cost verification
  • Assist Project Manager to track subcontractor billings through project close-out and track overall project costs and change orders
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in administrative support
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with Project Management software is preferred
  • Professional, well-organized and detail-oriented with the flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Work well under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form and with all types of staff, including trades, technical, professional, and upper management
  • Knowledge of construction cost accounting and Sage 100 accounting software is a plus
  • Work with minimal oversight but take direction effectively from managers
